The case file

What we built for Circus Clouds.

Circus Clouds operates vape shops in Kelowna and Vernon, with daily hours extending to 11 p.m. and a product mix that includes brands such as ELFBAR, SMOK, Caliburn, and FruitBombz. Local customers often visit the website with a practical question about location, hours, products, or refill services.

We designed the experience around store discovery and quick retail information. Each location is easy to distinguish, popular product categories are clearly signposted, and the presentation gives the brand personality without hiding essential details behind visual effects.

The Astro, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS build is fast, responsive, and easy to maintain. It gives Circus Clouds a consistent digital home for two stores while supporting local search visibility in both markets.

Regulated retail adds a layer most local sites skip. Age-gated categories and product claims have to stay accurate without slowing a customer down at 10:45pm looking for hours. We kept the regulatory language factual and out of the way, so the site reads like a normal retail storefront rather than a compliance document.

The brief

The problem, and how we solved it.

Challenge

The business needed one recognizable brand experience for two physical shops without blurring their local details. The website also had to communicate product range and services responsibly within a regulated retail category.

Solution

We created clear location paths with practical hours, contact, and store information. Product and refill-service content is organized for discovery, while the lightweight front end keeps the experience quick for mobile shoppers.

Problems solved

What was in the way.

Three concrete problems on the old experience, and the fixes we shipped.

  1. Customers could confuse store information between Kelowna and Vernon.

Distinct location content keeps addresses, hours, and local contact details clearly separated.

  2. A broad brand selection was difficult to summarize without creating a dense catalog.

Focused category and brand signals provide useful orientation before an in-store visit.

  3. Late-evening retail searches demanded immediate practical information.

Hours, locations, and core services are prioritized for fast mobile access.
