The case file

What we built for Okanagan Functional Rehabilitation.

Okanagan Functional Rehabilitation provides mobile occupational therapy throughout Vernon, Kelowna, and the Okanagan. Its clients include people navigating spinal cord and brain injuries, stroke, Parkinson's, dementia, aging-in-place decisions, and return-to-work planning.

The website needed to explain what mobile occupational therapy looks like in daily life. Rather than relying on broad clinical language, the content connects services to practical goals such as safer routines, greater independence, workplace participation, and support within a client's own environment.

We built a clear, accessible Astro site that brings services, conditions, and geographic coverage into one understandable structure. The result supports clients, families, case managers, and referral partners with plain information and a straightforward route to discuss care.

The brief

The problem, and how we solved it.

Challenge

Occupational therapy can cover a wide range of needs, audiences, and referral situations. The practice needed to explain that breadth without making vulnerable clients or family members sort through dense clinical copy.

Solution

We organized content around real functional goals, relevant conditions, and mobile service delivery. Accessible layouts, direct contact paths, and focused local information make the practice easier to understand and refer to.

Problems solved

What was in the way.

Three concrete problems on the old experience, and the fixes we shipped.

  1. Prospective clients could struggle to understand how occupational therapy applied to their daily needs.

Service copy connects clinical expertise with concrete goals such as mobility, independence, home safety, and return to work.

  2. Several distinct client groups needed information from the same website.

The content structure supports individuals, families, case managers, and referral professionals without mixing their priorities.

  3. The mobile nature of the practice was not enough on its own to explain geographic availability.

Vernon, Kelowna, and wider Okanagan service signals are integrated throughout relevant pages.
